I guess you can say I started journaling at a young age, I recall being around eight years old. I remember as if it were yesterday, I was looking for away to express my emotions, two years had gone by and I found that I was still in this foster home, still waiting for my mother to come and rescue me. I need to explain, my foster parents treated us very well..But they were not my family, so I felt as if I did something horrible. Maybe I was being punished often times I wished I wake up and realize it was just a crazy dream...In 2004 I was attending school fulltime. And my writing was at its best, the third week of school I was involved in a very serious car accident; the trauma from the accident caused me to loose my short term memory. You know sort of like the fish Dorie on finding Nemo..Before the accident I would read, and write. Actually I had accumulated quite the magazine and book collection. Well you can imagine after loosing your short term memory reading and writing became very difficult. I recall five years later standing in my living room looking at all my books trying to remember reading them. I walked around with my short term memory being not so effective for about a year. My passion for reading and writing disappeared. This year I began keeping a journal, and began to express myself through poetry, out of this amazing experience the book A Divine Poet's Journal was born. The concept of this book was to combine inspirational poetry with a journal..


The book is currently available on lulu.com, the chapbook edition just includes the poems, and the writer's edition includes poetry with a personal journal for anyone who enjoys journaling.
